What is Aquakat?

Aquakat is a concentrated 100% organic liquid for use by aquarists to improve water conditions and water clarity. It is easy to use and a very cost effective method of reducing nitrates, phosphates and Ammonias, thus making the environment better for the fish as well as removing the elements that support the growth of algae at the same time increasing the efficiency of your filters by improving the digestion of waste and organic matter.

How do I add Aquakat products to my water feature?

Each order is supplied with a small dispensing syringe, using the Dosage Chart (117Kb requires Microsoft Excel), enter your water features dimensions, the chart will work out exactly how much of your Aquakat product to add. Insert the Aquakat liquid into your water feature at a point where the water comes out of your filter this will disperse the product into your feature. If you have no filter just add the product and agitate the water to mix.

How often do I have to add the Aquakat product?

The product needs to be added every seven days; this is to keep the Aquakat product working at its optimum level.

Is there an easier way to add the product to my water feature?

Electronic dispensers are available that can be set to dispense your Aquakat product at whatever rate is required to be added , there are two versions, one that runs off the mains with a 24v transformer and one that works off rechargeable batteries. Larger dispensers are available to order for the commercial breeding sector.

What are the benefits of using Aquakat Products?

What is the cost of Aquakat product on a weekly basis?

Based on a 4000 litre water feature the cost would be about 14p per week.

Will Aquakat help with algae?

Aquakat is excellent at eliminating all types of algae by assisting in the removal of nitrites and phosphates without which the algae will die, without the distress of de-oxygenation of the aquatic environment. Keeping the water in balance will stop algae forming; Aquakat will considerably improve the clarity of your water.

What is Aquakat WaterFeature?

This is a product specifically for water features that do not have any fish but has a green water problem. Algae growing in the water eventually covers the water feature turning it green, which in turn can cause unpleasant odours. Aquakat WaterFeature is added to the water in the same way as other Aquakat products, and assists with the removal of nitrates and phosphates removing the main source of the algae and keeping the water crystal clear.

Aquakat WaterFeature can be used effectively in indoor water features situated in office blocks, Hotels etc as well as the traditional exterior water features.
